| Hunting for me... |

For me, it's a place to go and clear my mind and refuel the gray matter from the stressors that life puts on us everyday. Face the facts, most people have a form of stress from work, kids, family, health problems and so on. Now a days, multi-tasking is a household work for most folks. I don't use hunting as a reason not to uphold my commitments that I have to my family, job, kids sports, school functions and so forth. Instead, it's a place thaty I can go and sit quietly and clear my head and re-energize my battery. I don't go just to kill something or see if I can set a new world record for the biggest animal. I am the kind of person that loves a challenge. To me, hunting is a challenge. It is like going out on someone else's turn(the animal's) and trying to find them before they find me. I know that sounds like a big game of hide and go seek, but in essence, it is. Deer hunters go out and try to read the sign through rubs, scrapes, and trails. Others plant food plots and spend countless hours scouting in the hot summer weather to find that special deer for the fall. For the few that meet success and are able to harvest that animal with a bow, gun, or other means... they have a feeling of accomplishment! |
